[ a gulp ] Back home, I was dating someone, and I don't know if I'll ever see him again, but...I still care a lot about him, and if we ever do meet again, I'd still be fairly close to him. It wasn't what I meant when I brought him up, but Watanuki-kun said something like 'if you want to include him in this relationship, we'll have to talk it out.'

He said he used to date two people at the same time, himself...it was kind of a mutual triangle thing, like they just...worked everything out between them all--I mean, I'm sure it was more complicated than I'm making it sound, but...this is the first time I heard of something like that, you know?

I guess he had a similar experience? But with the other people he dated. Just that he liked to talk about them sometimes, and if I was okay with that.

I don't know, truthfully. Watanuki-kun said their arrangement sort of fell to the wayside after a handful of years, because they all sort of went their separate ways, and...well, because of Watanuki-kun's position.
