week 4 tuesday post meeting!

[ Natsuno's kind of at the periphery of the meetings like a sullen moody gargoyle. He doesn't often speak though, but he appears to listen from time to time but is more than happy to let everyone else do the talking. This past meeting with hearts, palaces and treasures actually leaves him with questions though, which he decides to revisit later after everyone's dispersed. Knock-knock. ]

Takamaki are you in? It's Koide.

[well, she does open her door! Mokona is on her shoulder. and though she looks a little surprised at first, she smiles at him.]

Hey, Koide-kun. What's up?

[sotoshini]

I wanted to ask you about—what's that? [ He has not seen Mokona before. ]

[fullbodied]

This is Mokona.

Kimihiro-kun is lending him to me for now.

[sotoshini]

A pet? [ Looking curiously. ]

[fullbodied]

I would hesitate to call him that...

But he's keeping me company.

[mokona jumps and whaps him

[ Blink, blink.

Well Natsuno doesn't seem to mind....? ]

I see. Can I come in?

Mmhm. Come on in.

[it's as clear as an invitation as he could get!

She steps back to let him in.

Her room is rather plain-- except for the clothes that are strewn around.]

[ Thk god because asking for clarification is awkward as she knows. Stepping in, taking a quick look around but not commenting on the clothes. ]

I wanted to ask you about Watanuki. You said that he was conflicted about whether to stay human or become a witch, mn?

[fullbodied]

Mmhm.

Yeah, at least... that was the impression I got in his heart.

[ Sighing. ]

And that's what this whole game is about? You can't be two things at once. Not two things like that, anyway.

[fullbodied]

I don't agree. He can probably be both things-- he just thinks he has to choose.

... Maybe it's the same for Nirrti, who knows.

[sotoshini]

Why? I can't be both a human and a jinrou.

[fullbodied]

It's more... Maybe he is a witch, but he doesn't have to give up his humanity. They're not that exclusive.

[sotoshini]

Hmn. And you think that because you've seen in his heart...?

[fullbodied]

Mmhm.

He's going to have to navigate a third way, but he doesn't need to choose between who he was and who he is. I don't think they're that different.

[ He shakes his head. ]

You'll have to convince him of that first. I've barely spoken to him, and we don't see eye to eye anyway. [ Future happenings are ironic. ] But Nirrti...she doesn't want to go back, only forward.

... But what if she isn't actually moving forward?

She thinks she is. [ But yeah, from his tone it's clear that he agrees with Ann here. ]

[fullbodied]

She thinks a lot of things.

And they're not all correct.

[she frowns a little bit, and then flips her hair over her shoulder.]

And I'm not the kind to just... take stuff lying down. Not that. Even if it's hopeless, I'm going to try anyway.

[sotoshini]

[ More nodding to the first part. ]

Neither am I. But I'm not interested in convincing people either.

[ On the other hand if you need something done? He's your protag. ]

[fullbodied]

... Then, maybe that's the biggest difference between us, Koide-kun.

[she has to spell it out.]

Though, stealing someone's heart isn't really "convincing" them. It's taking away the twisted desires that led them down this path in the first place.

And then letting them do the rest.

I think there's more than that.

[ Said lightly and with a hint of amusement, but he's happy to move on. ]

I meant in general, but as far as the witches go...whatever needs to be done, I guess. Sounds convenient, though. Not as straightforward as what I can do, but I doubt it would work here anyway.

I need more information before it works here, too, honestly. But I'm still gonna try. If I make it to the end, I'm gonna steal her heart.

And that would help her even if she resists? [ He gets the concept by now, it's just still weird to hear. ]
